ferns1Are you experiencing acute or chronic pain or injury, or excessive tension? I have over 25 years of experience, skill and knowledge helping people release pain from injury, muscle tension and stiffness, overuse and chronically held patterns. I help you regain greater pain-free movement and flexibility in your daily life.

If you spend a lot of time on your computer or other device, or at any other activity that involves repetitive movements or position (including sitting, standing, walking), or for heavy physical activity on the job or in athletics, your body adapts to the strain, but  can eventually result in pain, injury or muscle spasm. I address the strain patterns and holdings to restore flexibility and range of motion and ease the painful condition. Regular therapeutic massage is recommended for “preventative maintenance.”

I also provide recommendations on stretching, exercise and posture, follow-up and other resources for self-care so you have the tools to take care of yourself.
I use a mixed modality approach to free-up affected areas and address the sources of the pain, including chiefly Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release and Orthopedic Massage (an assortment of clinical and fascial techniques: I am certified.) The Cranio-sacral, Trager, Lomi Lomi and Reiki trainings I’ve taken also influence my work.

Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release
Deep therapeutic work intended to slowly sink into the deeper muscles and connective tissue for a profound letting go, creating greater pain-free ease of movement. Varies according to your preference and needs from deeply relaxing to intense.

Swedish Massage
A spectrum of pleasurable strokes that relax the whole body and mind, blended into the deeper therapeutic work to enhance it’s effectiveness and provide variety. Or used alone when profound relaxation is called for.

Orthopedic Massage
A range of techniques effective in treating injury, misalignment of the body, pain and limitation of movement. (Certified)

I call this work “Intentional Massage” to reflect my intention to be deeply grounded in presence,  fully listening and attentive, holding space for you and honoring your session as sacred.  And being an open vessel for the energy of love to flow through my touch to your being.  I invite you to let go to your deeper self.
